Meal Plan

Children can still feel good while eating healthy. By getting the correct amount of nutrients everyone in the family can get what they need. The abilities of children range from preparing food to cleaning up! 
Breakfast
 
1 egg
1 banana
1 cup of oats
 
Starting out the day just right is always easier when we have energy. With protien, fiber, and potassium in balance the body can take on what the day dishes out.
Lunch
 
1 can of tuna
1 pickle
Mayonnaise
Mustard
Whole grain bread
 
Drain the tuna fish, cut up the pickle, and then mix it all together with mayo and mustard. Place it between two slices of whole grain bread and you have lunch that can be eaten at home or on the go.
Dinner
 
Chicken or lean meat
1 cup green edamame
1 cup brown rice
1 apple
 
Dinner seems like a stressfiul time in our fast paced world. Have kids help with side dishes by doing things like measuring out how much rice to boil and peeling the edamame. For desert, choose sweet fruits instead of artificially sweetened products.

The best way for children to get all the vitamins they need is by eating the fruits and veggies that contain them. A great way to play with kids is by cooking with them. They can learn about colors and shapes by preparing and helping out in the kitchen. Allow them to decide which fruits to put into a smoothie. Use coconut or almond milk to get the perfect consistency.
